All participants must have an adult leader application signed and approved by their charter Rep. and Unit Chairman & a certificate of completion of online Youth Protection Traing prior to attendance. No registration at the door.

“SCOUTMASTERSHIP FUNDAMENTALS” will teach practical ways to instill the eight methods of Scouting into your troop programs. The eight methods of scouting are:


  1.  Patrol Method
  2.  Outdoors
  3.  Advancement
  4.  Association with Adults
  5.  Personal Growth
  6.  Leadership Development
  7.  Uniform 

Completing this course will give confidence that being a Scoutmaster is a manageable challenge, provide knowledge of the abundant resources available, make you part of a supportive team of leaders working to deliver the “Promise of Scouting” to the youth of America, and help you develop a short action plan to apply eight methods of Scouting at the troop level.

  • Troop Committee Challenge: Offered online and in a classrooom setting. Course designed to help Troop Committee Members better understand their roles and responsibilities through interactive learning. Offered online.
  • Youth Protection Training: This training increases awareness in youth protection issues, reviews all of the BSA youth protection policies and is required for all of the Leader training awards. Youth Protection Training is required for all registered leaders participating in any nationally conducted event or activity and is recommended for anyone working directly with the youth. Youth Protection training is available online.

Late fee
After 4/1/2017 a fee of $1.00 will apply to all Participant Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
All registrations are no refund. In the case of an emergency, please request an exemption in writing and a 25% administrative fee will be deducted from the original fee. Every request is considered on a case to case basis. Weather is not ussually a reason for cancelation. In the event that affects the area and the event is canceled, every attempt will be made to re-schedule. If not possible refunds, minus expences will be returned.
