YOU'RE INVITED! Yes, you! Every adult leader in
the Council regardless of your registered position
These two courses will be taught at Camp Perry beginning at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 (please be on time, we will start promptly). We will get together in the Lodge Room at 6:45 p.m. and get started at 7:00 p.m. We will be at Camp all day Saturday. We usually finish up about 6:00 p.m. Meals will be provided (breakfast and lunch on Saturday, no dinner on Friday or Saturday).
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is one of the requirements for Scoutmasters, Varsity Scout Leaders, and their respective assistants to be trained and to wear the "Trained" patch for those positions.
Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders is one of the requirements for Webelos Den Leaders and their assistants to be trained and to wear the "Trained" patch for those positions.
The Executive Board has passed a resolution mandating that Scoutmasters, Varsity Scout Leaders, and Webelos Den Leaders must be trained by September 10, 2010.
ANY ADULT SCOUTER IN THE COUNCIL IS WELCOME TO ATTEND REGARDLESS OF YOUR CURRENT SCOUTING POSITION. WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU THERE.
You can sleep in the Summer Camp staff quarters (bring your bedding and a cot) or you can pitch a tent and sleep in any campsite that is not occupied by a Scouting unit.
If you have special needs (for sleeping or whatever or if you have dietary restrictions, please let me know ahead of time). There are both indoor and outdoor activities but the courses are not physically strenuous.
Please wear your uniform, bring a pad and pen or pencil for notes. Dress for the weather. You do not need to bring any equipment but, if you have a compass, please bring it with you. We do not have anyone that can provide child care.
Registration is online and the cost is $15.00.
Please call or send an email (preferred) if you have any questions. If you send an email, be sure to include your name and phone number.
